Verified Purchase. This book is an amusing piece of fluff; the "suggestions" it makes are certainly not very useful unless all that concerns you is getting into a woman's pants -- once -- and you don't care at all what she, or anybody else, thinks of you afterwards. Frankly, I doubt that they're all that useful even in that case; I can't imagine too many women with above-room-temperature IQs being taken in by very many of these ploys.
Nonetheless, just to prove that even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again, I will quote the one GOOD piece of advice to be found in this book: "The idea here is not to get drunk unless she does.
For while plenty of drunken guys have scored with drunken women, and sober guys with sober women, and sober guys with drunken women, very few drunken guys have scored with sober women. If you're actually looking for advice on how to get laid, look elsewhere. A better introduction to The Machiavellian's Guide to Womanizing is found in the afterword of the book.
The afterword reads: "Normal girls are unable to resist if you exhibit a sense of humor, charm, and a minimal amount of kindness.
Even if you're a brazen cad, girls can often be fooled by an act which combines equal parts self-deprecation, wit and flattery. All you really need is the requisite nerve or perhaps gall to pull it off. You also want to make her feel very special--as if you don't chase every girl you fancy All is fair, as you constantly hear, in love and war. Are their better schools of thought on dating than The Machiavellian's Guide to Womanizing, of course! This book would appeal to guys who are already fun and social and have the courage to do and say things "normal guys" won't.
I won't recommend this book to my buddy who isn't very social and has problems being cocky and funny. If this style of pick-up doesn't appeal to you skip the book as you will be out of your element. I give it 3 and a half stars. Great book when you want to learn how to get laid. This book is a barrel of monkeys. I wouldn't take it too seriously, but there are some great lines in it that still crack me up.
