An adventure quest, the book had serious themes: about cultural clashes, attitudes towards religion, and cross-cultural friendships; the nature of loyalty and courage.
Then it was turned into a simple-minded gore-fest B-film appealing to year old males. Unanswered Questions 3. Appropriate age level? I haven't read this yet and this book was in a pile donated from a family friend for my classroom library. Can anyone tell me why Ecthgow and the others were angry at Ibn Fadlan for writing his name in the dirt after he was specifically asked to do so, and then was treated better by Buliwyf after he promised not to anymore?
