I think that the most oustanding aspect about this book is the Harpies. I think they stole the show and they were just my favorites.
Probably won't review this one since it was just okay for me and I really want to dive into the next books I truly want to re-read. I liked Sabin the keeper of Doubt, but I didn't love him. He was hot and cold too much for me. He wanted Gwen, so he would stay away from her or act cold. I wanted more romance. Gwen on the other hand was amazing. The Harpies were so much fun. I thought Gwen and Sabin made a cute couple. Gwen and her sisters were interesting and I hope we get more harpy time. The plot was good. The gifted kids were cool I would have liked a bit more of their stories.
I loved getting to see past couples. My heart hurt for Gideon. The things he suffered in this book. I can't wait for Maddox and Ashlyn's baby to be born.

This is my favorite LOTU so far : Great book with the first half of it being absolutely amazing The Lords have gone to Egypt searching for the third artifact that will help them find Pandora' Box, but instead of the artifact they find a Hunter facility full of pregnant woman, who are all immortal in some way.
One of the women i Her gaze skittered away from him. One of the women isn't pregnant, but is feared by all, even Hunters. She is Gwendolyn, and has been imprisoned for a year inside the pyramid. For some reason Sabin is the only one that she trusts, and when he frees her, he takes her into his care.
After finding out the huge power Gwen possesses, Sabin plans to bring her into their was as a weapon, but one he first must train to prevent a bloodbath. After he starts having feelings for her, he will have to make a choice between love or war. Gwendolyn the Timid is a harpy with great power, but one she doesn't know how to control. She was always the weak one in the family, and is afraid what her sisters will do when they find out that she's been imprisoned for a year.
She wants to stay with Sabin in the fortress, even though he treats her like a prisoner in his room ehehehehe , and ultimately Gwen decides to help him with the war and train her powers : I totally loved Gwen! She wasn't suck a kick-ass, especially in the beginning, but maybe it's because Sabin's uber-protectiveness came out in full force so yes, that is something I love :D Oh and I loved what she did in the end, view spoiler [when the big fight was on hide spoiler ] , that was awesome : Sabin is the keeper of Doubt, a demon who enjoys whispering to other people, making them question everything, even themselves.
He has to tell the truth all the time, and hasn't been in a relationship for years because his last lover ended her life because of his demon. That's why he doesn't want to get close to anyone anymore, he can't control his demon, and doesn't want someone to suffer because of him. He is uber-protective to Gwendolyn, but cruel at the same time, trying to distance himself as much as he can. War always comes first for him, and with that he plans to train Gwen into a weapon against Hunters.
That will become a problem when his protective instincts kick in, and he'll be forced to make a decision between protecting Gwen and winning the war. Well, strawberry-blond hair. The hair color? He wanted to plow his fingers through it, fist it, spread it over his pillow, his thighs.
A blush? And now you're thinking, why the 4 stars then? Well for some reason the writing style bugs me in every book , not always but usually at the end where it just gets too sweet : And yes now you're thinking; Blacky you moron, you love sweet, wth is your problem?
Yes, I love sweet, but here I wish it was toned down a bit : The series has such a dark feel to it and I just wish it would keep it throughout the book, but for me it gets too sugary and I don't know : I still loved the book but gah : it just bugs me for some reason.
Anyway, what else This book had the hottest sex scene in the series so far : Me totally likey : The big fight at the end was great , wish they'd do that more often : I hate Legion :D and the relationship with her and Aeron is uber-freaky and weird. I am very intrigued about Torin cause some stuff was revealed about him here, and there is a character from another series mentioned, shoot me now but I can't remember, anyway I am thinking she could be his woman.
There are lots of new female characters, and I'm thinking they'll be paired off with the Lords : Can't wait to see that : And so, off to the next one, Aeron and his stalker ehehehehheheheh View all 81 comments.

So not taming the beast here, but intimidating it. Sabin I like Sabin, though he is often single-minded and stubborn. All he cares about is the war, and defeating their enemy.
And in this regard he is not willing to take any risk. Again, even Sabin. He feared failure as much as Gideon feared spiders. Powerful, a little wild, a lot wicked.
