He has included pictures of himself and band members and his own personal art work. Any Blue October Fan would love this book. I would have to say I am very pleased with my purchase of Crazy Making and can not imagine myself ever being done reading it and enjoying it over and over again for many many years!!!
It's Genius!!!!! I'm sorry for the very low rating for this book. This rating is because I didn't get the book the description said. It was supposed to be the 2nd edition of the book. That is the only reason I purchased it here. What I got was the 3rd edition of the book. I already have the first edition and had it signed by Justin himself at a meet and greet before one of their shows. When I read the description for this one it said very clearly 2nd edition.
The price they were wanting would have been consistent for the 2nd edition as it is very hard to find. However, the price was way overpriced for the 3rd edition. I already had the third edition coming from a pledge I made through the band itself.
The only reason I didn't return this is because I didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back and have decided to give it to my sister for Christmas as she is also a huge Blue October fan like myself. Very hard to find book. Was pleasantly surprised to find it. This book is one you will always have, if your a blue October fan. All lyrics with a side note of his thought,or where he was.
Not all his songs, but a good number of them. He is a smart,beautiful,underestimated artist. Love him!! Amazing quality, excellent read, beautiful print quality--definitely met AND exceeded my expectations!
I highly recommend this as an addition to your book collection! Wish it was bigger and had more. Loved it and wanted more. I really hope he writes more and releases it. I love blue October but after 2 days I was done reading lyrics and wanted more background info. Brilliant book and amazing quality! Blue October has been in my life since I first found them in at age five. Anyone who loves Blue October also knows Justin's history; his highs, his lows, his breakdowns, and his successes as a person and artist. The book "Crazy Making" gives us a first person view behind all of it. Working as a half-lyric book- half- autobiography, the book consists of almost every song in Blue October's catalog, including some songs that were never previously released to the public. The book implores readers to read the lyrics word for word, with each page including a hand-written footnote, sometimes a few sentences, sometimes a few paragraphs, about Justin's mindset when writing the song. Some songs were influenced by angst, some by drugs, and some by total rage and anger.
